Stewart Hall Cathell, son of Platt and Sarah Cathell- 1870 to 1953. His wife, Cyrena was a daughter of Theodore and Cyrena Minear Lipcomb-Minear's were very early settlers in Tucker County, actually before the territory was open for settlement.

Jeff Lipscomb writes:
"Cyrena May "May" (Lipscomb) Cathell was one of the roughly 306 great grandchildren of Ambrose Lipscomb (1762-1841), a Revolutionary War soldier who settled in what is now Preston Co. about 1807. May was the youngest child (out of 13) of Theodore Bond Lipscomb and Cyrena Margaret Minear. Ten of those thirteen children died of consumption at early ages. May, sister "Josie," and brother Isaac Lemuel were the only ones who lived past the age of 30. Theodore & wife Cyrena both died within hours of each other in 1904 (both at age 79) and received an obituary in the Washington Post.

A photo of Theodore & Cyrena will appear in my book. It's the same photo of them that appeared in Harley Cathell's book. The photo was taken by the husband of one of May's sisters (Sarah Josephine "Josie"). He was "Harry Smith" (actual name: Marion Marvin) who fled Pa., went to WV, and changed his name.

Regrettably, Harley misidentifies another photo in his book as being of Jane (Bond) Lipscomb, wife of Fielding Lipscomb (son of Ambrose) and mother of Theodore. The photo shown is actually of Theodore's sister Jane Bond (Lipscomb) Fint (1829-1916), who died in Michigan. She and husband George P. Fint divorced in 1882 - the earliest divorce record found among descendants of Ambrose Lipscomb.
Another error in Harley's book is where he states that Lula Mabel Cathell and her husband Roy Wilmer Lipscomb were not related. In fact, they were third cousins on the Lipscomb line. Roy's father George Solomon Lipscomb was a son of David Howard Lipscomb (my great grandfather's younger brother), who was a son of Levi Lipscomb (1798-1878). Levi was an older brother of Fielding Lipscomb (1802-1883/84), the father of Theodore Bond Lipscomb.
